To begin with I thought the book would be fairly amusing, but also that it would make no sense and is really aimed at children - how wrong I was!
As soon as I received this as a present from my Grandparents on Christmas Day, I though maybe I should give it a try and I began to read the first page, which became the second page then the third until I realised I had finished the book - I just couldn't put it down, and I know this sounds cliched but I honestly couldn't. Not only is the book amusing to read, it also has fantastic images which help visualise the story at hand which added to the fun of reading the book. From The Journey of Courageousness to The Streets of Ambitiousness and My Life Today, A Simples Life is by far one of the most enjoyable books I have ever read, and although it is short in size it make up for it in laughs you will honestly want to re-read the book over and over again especially with stories such as finding 'old ship's biscuits in bottom of boat. Sometimes they found maggots in them, but mostly they were not that lucky'.
However the best thing about the book I believe is the fact that the way its written and the frequency of the adverts on TV makes it impossible to not read the book in a Russian accent just like Aleksandr!
